We are proud to have obtained positive results in our regional learning assessment, where we had an improvement in the learning of our primary level students because they are proof that our teachers participating in the courses offered by Alma are putting into practice everything they learned from our proposal.
Our assessment was not easy to carry out, because at the beginning we had to prepare the evaluation matrices in coordination with the Regional Education Management so that the specialists could review it for approval. We also had some difficulties with some directors who were opposed to the assessment because they did not have an evaluative culture and therefore showed rejection of the intervention, but by explaining to them that this activity is a type of contribution so that their students improve, they realized that it is very important that their institution participate in these processes and that this should be a constant throughout the student’s school life. On the other hand, there were the applicators who were education students from Institutes and Universities who supported us in the execution of the evaluation and who, despite not knowing the schools because they had never been to the field in their lives, realized that it was an experience that helped them see the educational reality in our region up close.
We are happy that our students whose teachers are participants in our courses offered by Alma show an improvement in 53% of our evaluated population and this makes us realize that our teachers must continue strengthening their capacities so that they can continue giving that support in the learning of their students, always seeking the development of complex thinking, socio-emotional well-being and strengthening the ties between families and the educational community.
