Hi everyone!
My name is Jamie Shinoff and I am the new Outreach Director here at Alma! I am a student at Queen’s University majoring in Global Development Studies, minoring in History, and I am also in the Concurrent Education Program. I am passionate about development issues and education, and I am excited to work with Alma in providing sustainable methods of education to rural communities in Peru and Bolivia. Alma’s focus on creativity and critical thinking connect closely to my studies, and I am looking forward to exercising my educational background while working with the Alma team. After volunteering in an orphanage in Cusco in 2014, the region has held a special place in my heart. I am ecstatic to be working with an organization that works so admirably in partnership with communities in Latin America for the provision of sustainable methods of education.
Thank you Alma for welcoming me to the team!
Jamie
